Get in Touch

Taos County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, obtain official booking records, release anyone, post bond, or resolve a warrant. Contact the appropriate public office directly for those services.

Official Taos County Record Contacts

Use the contact that matches the record you need. Taos County does not publish a verified public current roster, booking-photo page, or same-day booking feed. For a recent custody question, start with the detention or records number. For a document, use the records portal and identify the record, agency, name, date range, and any case or incident number. A police arrest report, a county booking sheet, and a court case are separate records that can have different custodians.

Police office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.

For a request, name each existing category separately: arrest report, booking sheet, booking or release log entry, and booking photograph. Ask for releasable redactions where necessary. New Mexico's public-record framework does not require an office to create a record that does not exist. If a case has already reached court, the New Mexico Courts case lookup can help distinguish the initial accusation from a later disposition.

  • For a Taos Police arrest report, begin with the Town of Taos public-records path and confirm whether police retains the original report.
  • For a county detention booking or release question, use the TCADC booking line before filing a narrowly described request.
  • For sheriff-held reports or records, use the sheriff records line and identify the date and originating agency.
  • For a written county request, use NextRequest or the county custodian's contact details above.
  • For court status after charges are filed, use the New Mexico Courts case lookup. Eighth District Court handles felony matters and Taos Magistrate Court handles misdemeanors and traffic.
  • For a state-prison custody or supervision question, use the New Mexico Corrections Department offender search, which is not a county booking roster.
